GIOCP COUNSELING PRACTITIONER LICENSE
Global Institute of Counseling Professionals is a member licensing agency for consulting professionals globally. Those who meet the minimum admissions requirements here can apply and develop or update their professional services with our Member Support Education System (Conference programs).
This membership license is issued through two main categories and four sub-categories.
All applicants who want to obtain this license must follow the instructions given on this page. The Institute reserves the right to remove from membership any member who contravenes these instructions without any notice.
Effective February 1, 2023, these permits will only be issued to a very small number of applicants.
Accordingly, one can apply,
*** For GIOCP students who have met the educational qualifications for psychology and counseling with appropriate counseling skills and who have met all other qualifications listed on this page
*** For applicants who are not GIOCP students but meet the appropriate educational qualifications and meet all other qualifications mentioned on this page
All members of this license are required to attend the annual one-day workshop conducted by the GIOCP to develop the skills of psychological counselors and to discuss issues.
If you are a Sri Lankan, if you are abroad at the time of this workshop, you should send a letter to the institute stating if you have difficulty participating in this program. (A separate two-hour annual workshop will be held for non-Sri Lankan licensed members through zoom technology.)
ගෝලීය උපදේශන වෘත්තිකයන්ගේ ආයතනය යනු, ගෝලීය වශයෙන් උපදේශන වෘත්තිකයින් සදහා සාමාජික බලපත්‍ර ලබා දෙන ආයතනයකි. මෙහි අවම ඇතුළත් වීමේ සුදුසුකම් සපුරාලන අයහට මේ සදහා ඉල්ලුම් කල හැකි වන අතර, එම සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන්හට අපගේ අධ්‍යාපන පද්ධතිය (සම්මන්ත්‍රණ වැඩසටහන්) සමග ඔවුන්ගේ වෘත්තීය සේවාවන් සංවර්ධනය කිරීමට හෝ යාවත්කාලීන කිරීමට හැකිය.
මෙම සාමාජික බලපත්‍රය ප්‍රධාන කාණ්ඩ දෙකක් සහ අනු කාණ්ඩ හතරක් ඔස්සේ නිකුත් කිරීම සිදුකරනු ලබයි.
මෙම බලපත්‍රය ලබා ගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය සියලු අයදුම්කරුවන් මෙම පිටුවේ දක්වා ඇති උපදෙස් අනුගමනය කළ යුතුය. මෙම උපදෙස් වලට විරුද්ධව කටයුතු කරන ඕනෑම සාමාජිකයෙකු කිසිදු දැනුම්දීමකින් තොරව සාමාජිකත්වයෙන් ඉවත් කිරීමට ආයතනයට බලය ඇත.
2023 පෙබරවාරි මස 1 වන දින සිට බලපැවැත්වෙන පරිදි, මෙම බලපත්‍ර නිකුත් කරනු ලබන්නේ ඉතාම සුළු අයදුම්කරුවන් සංඛ්‍යාවක් සඳහා පමණි.

*** නිසි උපදේශන කුසලතා සහිත මනෝවිද්යාව සහ උපදේශනය සඳහා අධ්‍යාපන සුදුසුකම් සපුරා ඇති මෙම පිටුවේ සඳහන් අනෙකුත් සියලු සුදුසුකම් සපුරා ඇති GIOCP සිසුනට
*** GIOCP සිසුන් නොවන එහෙත් නිසිි අධ්‍යාපන සුදුසුකම් සපුරා ඇති, මෙම පිටුවේ සඳහන් අනෙකුත් සියලු සුදුසුකම් සපුරා ඇති අයදුම්කරුවන්ට
මෙම බලපත්‍ර ලාභී සියලු සාමාජිකයින්, GIOCP මගින් පවත්වනු ලබන, මනෝ උපදේශක උපදේශිකාවන්ගේ, දැනුම ශක්‍යතාවයන් වර්ධනය කිරීම සඳහා සහ ගැටලු සාකච්ඡා කිරීම සඳහා වාර්ෂිකව පවත්වනු ලබන එක්දින වැඩමුළුව සඳහා සහභාගි වීම අනිවාර්ය වේ.

වසර 2021 නොවැම්බර් මස 21 වන දින සිට බලපැවැත්වෙන පරිදි මෙම අංශයට ඉල්ලුම් කල හැක්කේ මනෝ උපදේශක හෝ උපදෙශිකාවකට නොගැලපෙන හැසිරීමක් හෝ එවැනි කිසිදු චෝදනාවකට වරදකරු නොවූ, GIOCP ආයතනයට සම්බන්ධ වීමෙන් අනතුරුව, වසර දහයකට වැඩි සේවා පළපුරුද්දක් සම්පුර්ණ කර ඇති උපදේශක හෝ උපදෙශිකාවකට පමණි.
Effective November 21, 2021, this category applies only to counselors who have completed more than ten years of service experience since joining GIOCP and also have not been convicted of any misconduct.

Eligibility Criteria:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, and with a minimum of 2 years of working experience.

පිළිගත් විද්‍යාලයකින් හෝ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයකින් මනෝවිද්යාව, උපදේශනය සහ සෞඛ්‍ය, සමාජ සේවා කටයුතු පිළිබඳ ශාස්ත්‍රපති උපාධියක් සහ අවම වශයෙන් වසර 2 ක සේවා පළපුරුද්දක් සහිත.
APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS
අයදුම්කරුවන් පහත අවශ්‍යතා සපුරාලිය යුතුය
- The applicant must be over 20 years of age and should have completed at least one year Diploma in Psychology and Counseling from a recognized institute or university.
- The applicant shall not be a person who has violated the law of the country or is involved in any anti-social activity or has been convicted or punished by the law.
- If your application has been selected, you will be informed by the GIOCP office about a viva interview.
- You are not authorized to make any payments to GIOCP bank accounts until GIOCP notifies you that you have been selected.
- අයදුම්කරුවන් වයස අවුරුදු 20ට නොඅඩු විය යුතු අතර පිළිගත් ආයතනයකින් හෝ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයක අවම වශයෙන්, වසරකට නොඅඩු මනෝවිද්යාව සහ උපදේශනය පිළිබඳ ඩිප්ලෝමා පාඨමාලාවක් හදාරා තිබිය යුතුයි.
- අයදුම්කරු රටේ නීතිය උල්ලංඝනය කළ බවට හෝ සමාජ විරෝධී කටයුත්තකට සම්බන්ධ වූ කෙනෙක් බවට හෝ එවැනි කටයුත්තකට නීතිය ඉදිරියේ වරදකරු හෝ දඬුවම් ලබා ඇති පුද්ගලයෙකු නොවිය යුතුයි.
- ඔබගේ අයදුම්පත GIOCP මගින් තෝරාගනු ලැබුවේ නම්, zoom තාක්ෂණය ඔස්සේ පවත්වනු ලබන සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණයක් සඳහා GIOCP කාර්යාලය මඟින් ඔබට දැනුම් දීමට කටයුතු කෙරේ.
ඔබ තෝරාගෙන ඇති බව GIOCP මගින් ඔබ වෙත දන්වන තුරු ඔබට GIOCP බැංකු ගිණුම් වෙත කිසිදු මුදලක් ගෙවීමට අවසර නැත.
APPLICATION PROCESS
අයදුම් කිරීමේ ක්‍රියාවලිය
(1) If you are a new member, read and follow all the instructions on this page.
(2) Visit the payment details page and check your payment details according to your membership category.
(1) ඔබ නව සාමාජිකයෙකු නම් මෙම නව සාමාජික පිටුවේ ඇති සියලු විස්තරය කියවන්න.
(2) ගෙවීම් විස්තර පිටුවට ගොස් ඔබගේ සාමාජික කාණ්ඩය අනුව ඔබේ ගෙවීම් විස්තර පරීක්ෂා කරන්න.
(3) Now visit the application page and complete the application and submit.
(Please note that one applicant should submit one application only. If you submit more than one application, the system may delete multiple applications for the same data. Please check the corrections twice before submitting the application.)
(3) දැන් අයදුම්පත් පිටුවට ගොස් අයදුම්පත සම්පූර්ණ කර ඉදිරිපත් කරන්න.
(එක් අයදුම්කරුවෙකු එක් අයදුම්පතක් පමණක් ඉදිරිපත් කළ යුතු බව කරුණාවෙන් සලකන්න. අයදුම්පත් කිහිපයක් ඉදිරිපත් කළහොත් එම එකම දත්ත සහිතව ඇති අයදුම්පත් අප පද්දතිය මගින් මකා දමනවා ඇති බව කරුණාවෙන් සලකන්න. අයදුම්පත ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට පෙර කරුණාකර දෙවරක් නිවැරදි කිරීම් පරීක්ෂා කරන්න.)
(4) After submitting the application, you must send us the relevant documents within two weeks, via the email address given below.

DOCUMENTS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED

(1) If you are a university student – character certificate from your university or if you have been employed in some place more than two years, a character certificate from your employment
(2) “Police report” and “Gram Sevaka” certificate if you are not currently employed
(3) Highest educational certificates in psychology and counseling
(4) Three recommendation letters about you, from recognized persons in the country or from an organization / institution / company, department etc. (Date of the recommendation letters should not be older than 6 months)
(1) ඔබ විශ්වවිද්‍යාල ශිෂ්‍යයෙක් නම් – ඔබේ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයෙන් චරිත සහතිකයක් හෝ ඔබ වසර දෙකකට වඩා යම් ස්ථානයක රැකියාවක නිරත වී ඇත්නම්, ඔබේ රැකියාවෙන් චරිත සහතිකයක්

(3) මනෝවිද්යාව සහ උපදේශනය පිළිබඳ ඉහළම අධ්‍යාපන සහතික
(4) ඔබ ගැන නිර්දේශ ලිපි තුනක්, රටේ පිළිගත් පුද්ගලයින්ගෙන් හෝ සංවිධානයකින් / ආයතනයකින් / සමාගමකින්, දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවකින් යනාදිය. (නිර්දේශ ලිපිවල දිනය මාස 6කට වඩා පැරණි නොවිය යුතුය)

RULES AND REGULATIONS
නීති සහ කොන්දේසි
(1) The GIOCP license can only be used if the membership is completed and the relevant validity period of the license is not exceeded.
(2) All licenses are not to be misused, interpreted or misappropriated. No more than one license will be issued to one person, but if the license is lost, the license must be re-obtained after appearing for the tests and paying the full exact amount.
(3) Attendance at psychological counseling awareness seminars conducted for licensees is mandatory. After the expiry of the licenses of those who do not participate in the conferences, there will be no renewal.
(4) In order to improve counseling standards, the role of psychological counselors in their professional life is observed in accordance with the Code of Ethics of Counselors.
(5) Even if you are eligible to obtain the relevant license as a Psychological Counselor with the membership of this institution, even if the institution has given you all the relevant permits / certificates along with it at the conference or CONVOCATION event, If your conduct or procedure violates the disciplinary rules of the institution, or proves that you are behaving inappropriately to a counselor, .. the license and all issued to you by the institution will be revoked and you will be removed from the GIOCP membership without any prior notice.
Please note that the institution has the power to do so and will not refund any of the fees you paid for the affiliate registration.
(6) Further, with effect from 21 November 2021, the license to become a Senior Practitioner can be renewed or apply only to those who have completed 10 years of practice as a counselor after joining GIOCP and have not been charged with any misconduct’s or behavior which is not appropriate for a psychological counselor.
If you believe that someone is misusing this membership license or making a false or misleading claim, please notify us via email.
*** Please note that this GIOCP membership is not a Certificate awarded for Educational Qualification. This Certified Membership License is granted only to those with educational qualifications, commitment in the field of counseling and meeting the standards of counseling.
Anyone who fails the interview can reapply after one year of meeting their eligibility.
(1) GIOCP බලපත්‍රය භාවිත කළ හැක්කේ සාමාජිකත්වය සම්පූර්ණ කර බලපත්‍රයෙහි අදාල වලංගු කාලය නො ඉක්මවා ඇත්නම් පමණි.
(2) සියලුම බලපත්‍ර අනිසි ලෙස භාවිතා කිරීම, අර්ථකථනය කිරීම හෝ අන්සතු කිරීම නොකළ යුතුය. එක් අයෙකුට බලපත්‍ර එකකට වඩා නිකුත් නොකරන නමුත් බලපත්‍රය නැති වුවහොත් නැවත බලපත්‍රයට අදාල පරීක්ෂණයන්ට පෙනී සිට, අදාල සම්පූර්ණ මුදල ගෙවා එය නැවත ලබා ගත යුතුය
(3) බලපත්‍රලාභීන් සඳහා පවත්වනු ලබන මනෝවිද්‍යාත්මක උපදේශනය පිළිබඳ දැනුවත්භාවය වැඩි දියුණු කිරීමේ සම්මන්ත්‍රණවලට සහභාගී වීම අනිවාර්ය වේ. එසේ සම්මන්ත්‍රණ සඳහා සහභාගී නොවන අයගේ බලපත්‍ර කල් ඉකුත් වූ පසු නැවත අලුත් කිරීමක් සිදු නොවේ.
(4) උපදේශන ප්‍රමිතීන් වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම සඳහා, ඔවුන්ගේ වෘත්තීය ජීවිතය තුළ මනෝවිද්‍යාත්මක උපදේශකයින්ගේ කාර්යභාරය උපදේශකයින්ගේ ආචාර ධර්ම පද්ධතියට අනුකූලව නිරීක්ෂණය කරනු ලැබේ.
(5) ඔබ මෙම ආයතනයේ සාමාජිකත්වය සමඟ මනෝ උපදේශකවරයකු හෝ මනෝ උපදේශිකාවක ලෙස අදාළ බලපත්‍රය ලබා ගැනීමට සුදුසුකම් ලැබුවද, GIOCP ආයතනය ඔබට ඒ සමඟ අදාළ බලපත්‍රය ඇතුළු සියලු දේ පිරිනමා තිබුණද, ඔබගේ හැසිරීම හෝ ක්‍රියා කලාපයන් ආයතනයේ විනය නීති උල්ලංඝනය කරන්නේ නම් හෝ, ඔබගේ හැසිරීම් හෝ ක්‍රියා කලාපයන්, මනෝ උපදේශකවරයකු හෝ මනෝ උපදේශිකාවකට නුසුදුසු බව පෙනීයන්නේ නම්, ඔබ වෙත කිසිදු දැනුම් දීමකින් තොරව ඔබගේ බලපත්‍රය ඇතුළු GIOCP හි ඔබගේ සියලු සාමාජිකත්වයෙන් අත්හිටුවීමට ආයතනයට බලය ඇත.
මෙහිදී ඔබ විසින් ආයතනයට ගෙවනු ලැබූ කිසිදු මුදලක් ඔබ වෙත නැවත ලබාද දීමක් සිදු නොවේ.
(6) තවද 2021 නොවැම්බර් මස 21 වන දින සිට ක්‍රියාත්මක වන පරිදි Senior Practitioner ලෙසින් බලපත්‍රය අලුත් කිරීම හෝ එම අංශයේ නව සමාජිකත්ව බලපත්‍ර අයදුම් කල හැක්කේ GIOCP ආයතනයට සම්බන්ධ වීමෙන් අනතුරුව වසර 8ක් ඉක්මවා ඇති සහ මනෝ උපදේශකවරයකුට හෝ උපදේශිකාවකට නොගැලපෙන නරක හැසිරිමක් හෝ කිසිදු වරදකට චෝදනා ලැබ වරදකරු වශයෙන් ඔප්පු නොවූ අය හට පමණි.
යමෙකු මෙම සාමාජික බලපත්‍රය අනිසි ලෙස භාවිත කරන බව හෝ අසත්‍ය හෝ නොමඟ යවන සුළු හිමිකම් පෑමක් කරන බව ඔබ විශ්වාස කරන්නේ නම්, කරුණාකර විද්‍යුත් තැපෑලෙන් අපට දන්වන්න.
*** මෙම GIOCP සාමාජිකත්වය අධ්‍යාපන සුදුසුකම් සඳහා පිරිනමන සහතිකයක් නොවන බව කරුණාවෙන් සලකන්න. මෙම සහතික කළ සාමාජික බලපත්‍රය ලබා දෙන්නේ අධ්‍යාපන සුදුසුකම් ඇති, උපදේශන ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ කැපවීම සහ උපදේශන ප්‍රමිතීන් සපුරාලන අයට පමණි.
සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණයෙන් අසමත් වන ඕනෑම අයෙකුට ඔවුන්ගේ සුදුසුකම් සපුරාලීමෙන් වසරකට පසුව නැවත අයදුම් කළ හැකිය.
